Resume : L'histoire se déroule en 2977. Le capitaine Harlock (Albator en vf) a été condamné à mort après s'être rebellé contre la Coalition.

Afin de l'éliminer définitivement, la Coalition choisit le jeune Yama pour infiltrer l'Arcadia et éliminer le redoutable pirate.
